Indepth were invited to carry out this project by a Geo Technical client. We were tasked with the installation of a Gas Mitigation Barrier which enabled the extraction of residual gases from the existing ground.

This involved the careful installation of vertical 50mm extraction pipework approximately 5metres deep at 2metre centres. These pipes were connected together using a 100mm diameter perforated pipe which was wrapped in geotextile and backfilled with granular fill. Indepth then applied concrete in steel vent pipes at 20metres along the 450metre total length of the works.
