Re-construction of landslip which had occurred between Rochdale Canal and the River Calder.
This needed to be carried out with environmentally safe procedures in place, as the landslip contained Japanese Knotweed. It was also necessary to correctly support a 450mm diameter pumping main, at the bottom of the landslip, to prevent raw sewage spilling into the river.
