Crimple Beck meanders through Spofforth, North Yorkshire before joining the River Nidd. During the Boxing Day floods of 2015, exceptionally high levels of rain fell across most of Yorkshire. The high level, fast flowing water forcibly undermined the river bank and caused a section of the sewer to be swept away. The works we carried out to replace the damaged sewer were fundamental in providing future protection to this environmentally sensitive area.

Indepth Civil Engineering received a Highly Commended Award for Crimple Beck at the CECA Yorkshire and Humber 2019 Awards Ceremony. The event took place at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate and was hosted by local newsreader and celebrity Harry Gration, along with cricketer Geoff Miller.
